Sarah Araneae

Okay guys....oh gosh I can't stop fawning over this image of Sarah! It's so beautiful and well done! Thank you Hannah SOOOOOOOOO much! It's gorgeous and I love her! Sarah is easily one of my favorite characters, not because of WHAT she is, but because of her personality and because of her uplifting spirit! But, time for the info ya'll have been waiting for.

Bio: Sarah was born in a cave with hundreds of brothers and sisters and left into the world to go and find her calling. Her first encounters with humanity were not met with kindness or love, but rather with fear. Undetered, however, Sarah continued to try and interact with people by sewing clothes and garments out of kindness. However, the town she was trying to win over turned her over instead to a freak show owner named Vorelli. Vorelli stripped Sarah of her clothes and forbade her from sewing any new ones for herself. He kept her locked in a cage for 3 years, showing her off to crowds of onlookers as the "Amazing Spider Girl." Sarah was humiliated, ridiculed, and broken to the point of near defeat. Without even a name of her own, she fell into dispair. All that changed when Katie was brought to the freak show and Sarah watched Vorelli torture her publically. Sarah shielded Katie and both were locked away for a long period as punishment. After that, Katie gave Sarah her name, feeling that Sarah needed to call herself something and the two became close friends. As close as sisters. A few weeks later, Sarah and Katie would both be rescued by Michelle and become the first additions the Monster Club. She now works as the seamstress and designer for the club and her happy and optimistic attitude, which somehow managed to survive the trials set before her, makes her a beacon of hope and smiles for the rest of the club.

Trivia
>Sarah's last name (which I have never released to the public) is the scientific term for "spider."
>Sarah was the first Monster Club member to be designed, and Mika and I had a hard time discussing just how we wanted her to look.
>Originally, my plan was for Sarah to have 6 eyes like a spider, all pitch red. However, Mika was against the idea and we both desided to just give her normal eyes. This changed however after Mika left and Hannah took over to design the characters. I personally prefer the 6 eyed design.
>Sarah is the only member of the club who felt no ill will or nervousness to Abraham's presence in the club, and was the first to vouch for him as a member of the club.
>Sarah's silk is unique, as it can be made thicker, stronger, weaker, or sticker depending on her preference. She can adjust the chemical formula put into her silk to suit her needs, even to the point that she can alter the color of her own silk. At it's strongest, Sarah's webs could snare an elephant easily.
>Sarah has a spiders biology, which means that, like a spider, she can become drunk off of caffeine, does have venom in her fangs, and responds negatively to cold temperatures.
>When designing her personality, I based a lot of it off of what I thought would be suiting of her character. Originally it was an irony factor that I was looking for; that she was the most frightening of the club, but was also the happiest and most friendly, as if she was unaware of her own appearance. However, I quickly grew a great fondness to her character and she has slowly become one of my favorite characters I've ever created.
